Bio: Howdy! My name is Ragd Elsaigh and I am a Biochemistry major '27 who is working to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry after graduation! I am interested in bioinformatics and its applications to biochemical research, therefore I would love to pursue a career in the field! I became interested in this field through visiting symposiums, where I learned about new research and was able to connect with other researchers. Some of my experiences include undergraduate research in Dr. Kurouski's lab for about 4 semesters, serving as an organizer of the Student Research Week Symposium 2024, and interning at a Microbiology laboratory over the summer! I find mentorship opportunities rewarding, because I love getting to share my advice, knowledge, and experience with others, as well as getting to hear about other peoples' aspirations! In my free time, I like to be find some creative outlets, so I bake desserts or paint portraits!
